Police said they're investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tai Po on Wednesday night in which a 51-year-old man died.

They said that at about 8.55pm, a taxi driven by the 51-year-old man had been travelling along Po Nga Road towards Tai Po Road - Tai Wo.

They said it was approaching the junction of Po Nga Road and Tai Po Tai Wo Road when the collision occurred.

Police said the taxi driver was found collapsed and was taken to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital where he was certified dead at 9.36pm.

They said the crash is being investigated.
