Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tai Po on Sunday afternoon in which a 59-year-old man died when his motorcycle hit a car.

Police said the motorcyclist sustained serious chest and neck injuries and was taken to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital where he was certified dead at 4.42pm.

They said the driver of the car, a passenger and another motorcyclist were also injured in the accident and were taken to hospital.

The driver of the car was arrested for dangerous driving causing death, and has been released on bail.
