Chief Secretary Matthew Cheung
The Chief Secretary, Matthew Cheung, has said the government will not judge young people by their political stance in its efforts in nurturing future politicians.
He said a pilot scheme which will allow 11 young people to sit on five policy advisory committees has received 1,100 applications, adding that candidates’ political beliefs will not be a consideration in the screening process.
Cheung said the government will continue to listen to the views of young people from across the political spectrum.
