  • Second woman arrested over boy's death

Police have arrested another suspect in relation to the death of a five-year-old boy in Sham Shui Po on Saturday.

After arresting the victim's mother, 33, on suspicion of murder, officers also detained a 40-year-old woman for alleged child neglect.

The boy was found unconscious in a sub-divided flat in Sham Shui Po on Saturday and died after being taken to the hospital. Police say multiple injuries were found all over his body.

Police said late on Sunday that they've laid a holding charge of murder against the mother, and the case will be mentioned at West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts on Monday.
