Yahoo! Hong Kong says it's corrected a problem in which photos of the June 4 crackdown in 1989 could not be displayed in its search engine on Saturday.

The website said no photos could be found under the Chinese keyword search "eight nine six four" for several hours on Saturday afternoon.

The words indicate the year and date of the Tiananmen Square crackdown in 1989.

The technology company says the issue has been rectified and apologized.

It gave no further details.
