The Xinhua news agency on Wednesday said authorities in Beijing had ordered local entertainment spots, including performance venues and internet cafes, to run at 75 percent capacity.
The move is a control measure against Covid-19.
Other measures against the coronavirus have also been put in place.
Anyone entering Beijing must show proof of a negative Covid test taken within the past 48 hours, and have a green health code displayed on their mobile phones.
