Beijing on Sunday said all delegates for next month's 20th Party Congress have been elected.
CCTV reported that a total of 2,296 delegates had been picked for the twice-in-a-decade political conclave.
The delegates will be tasked with picking around 200 members for the party's Central Committee. And the Central Committee will then vote for the 25-person Politburo and its all-powerful Standing Committee.
Analysts also expect President Xi Jinping to secure an unprecedented third term of office in the congress, that is set to kick off on October 16. (AFP)
