China plans to resume issuing short-term visas for travellers from South Korea on Saturday, the Chinese embassy in Seoul said on Wednesday.
From February 18, the Chinese embassy in Seoul and other consulates "will resume issuing short-term visas for Korean citizens to visit China, for business, transit and other private affairs", the embassy said on its official WeChat account.
The move follows South Korea's decision to lift similar visa curbs last week, citing an improved Covid-19 situation in its neighbour.
China halted issuing short-term visas to South Koreans last month after Seoul imposed restrictions on travellers from China following Beijing's ending of its zero-Covid policy. (Agencies)
