EVA Air's website says all eight of Friday's flights on the Hong Kong-Taipei route have been cancelled. It comes as industrial action by the Taiwanese airline's flight attendants' union continues.

According to EVA Air, 22 flights were affected on Thursday. An estimated 8,000 passengers were affected.

The airline said it had failed to reach an agreement with the union on improving pay and benefits.
