The head of Macau's legislature, Ho Iat-seng, said on Wednesday that he's "cautiously considering" entering the race to be the SAR's next chief executive.
Ho has been widely tipped as a candidate to replace Fernando Chui, who will complete his second and final term of office in December.
Ho said he hadn't told Beijing of his intentions and he would not step down as president of the Legislative Assembly just yet.
Macau's chief executive election is due to be held later this year.
