The Macau government announced on Sunday that it will conduct a third round of universal testing of residents over the next two days.
Officials there reported that the number of Covid-19 cases in the latest outbreak had jumped to 299. Thirty-eight new patients were identified on Sunday.
The local government said it had set up more testing stations and deployed more civil servants to carry out the citywide testing exercise.
