Mainland health authorities on Saturday said they had received reports of 27 newly-confirmed cases of Covid-19 on Friday and that 23 of them had been transmitted domestically, with the remaining four being imported.
The National Health Commission said 22 of the domestically-transmitted cases had been reported in Beijing. The other case was from the adjacent province of Hebei.
Beijing is currently suffering from an outbreak of the disease, which is linked to a wholesale market in the city.
The commission said no deaths from the disease had been reported on Friday.
