One Dead After Military Jet Crashes In Hubei

A People’s Liberation Army J-7 fighter jet crashed during training on Thursday morning in the city of Xiangyang in Hubei province, state media reported.
A CCTV report said one civilian died and another was hurt in the incident which occurred near an airport. Some residential buildings were also damaged.
It added the pilot successfully ejected from the plane and was later hospitalised.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The Global Times said videos online showed flames and smoke billowing from what appeared to be the crash site.
