The daily number of confirmed domestic Covid-19 cases in Taiwan has topped 10,000 for the first time, in line with predictions, and health officials warned that infections would continue to rise.
The island on Thursday reported 11,353 new local cases.
New Taipei City accounted for more than 4,500 of the latest infections, followed by Taipei with 2,424.
Two more people have died.
Officials believe Taiwan is still in the phase where infections would keep increasing.
