Daily Covid-19 infections in Shanghai continued to fall on Saturday, with the city reporting 4,214 new locally transmitted cases.
Of the latest infections, 253 showed symptoms and 3,961 were asymptomatic.
The city also reported 13 more Covid-related deaths.
But Zhao Dandan, deputy head of the city's health commission, warned against complacency at a press conference.
"Although Shanghai is seeing a decline for the reported cases, we are still at the critical period for prevention and control, we should not relax based on the previous achievements," he said.
Chen Qun, Shanghai's deputy mayor, said both university and high school entrance exams will be postponed for a month.
Across the country, the National Health Commission reported 4,620 local transmissions, including 345 symptomatic cases and 4,275 asymptomatic infections.
Beijing logged 45 symptomatic cases and 8 asymptomatic ones.
