Mainland authorities have reported 4,384 new local coronavirus cases, of which 319 were symptomatic and 4,065 were asymptomatic.
That compared with 4,620 a day earlier, consisting of 345 symptomatic and 4,275 asymptomatic infections.
Shanghai accounted for 215 of the latest local symptomatic cases, down from 253 on Friday, as well as 3,760 new local asymptomatic infections, a drop from 3,961 the day before.
The business hub reported eight new deaths, compared with 13 on Friday.
Beijing, meanwhile, reported 44 new locally transmitted symptomatic infections for Saturday, down from 45 a day earlier.
The Beijing Municipal Health Commission also recorded 18 local asymptomatic cases, up from eight on Friday. (Xinhua, Reuters)
