Shanghai Sees Slight Rise In Covid Cases

Shanghai reported a slight increase in new Covid infections on Thursday.
According to the National Health Commission, the country's financial hub reported a total of 27,719 cases.
That's 1,389 more than the previous day.
Authorities said 25,146, or around 91 percent of the cases, were asymptomatic.
There were also 2,573 symptomatic infections – more than double the day before.
Meanwhile, other parts of the mainland logged 1,598 local infections, with Jilin accounting for 999 of them.
Guangdong recorded 68 new cases, 21 of which were asymptomatic.
