Human resources consulting firm ManpowerGroup says local employers are forecasting payrolls to grow steadily over the next three months.
The firm surveyed 662 employers, and found just over a fifth were expecting staffing levels to rise in the next quarter.
The overall employment outlook is unchanged from the previous quarter. But, employers in the finance, Insurance and real estate sector reported their strongest growth forecast in more than six years.
Lancy Chui, senior vice-president at ManpowerGroup Greater China, said an increase in frontline sales and wealth management by banks is the major reason for the aggressive hiring sentiment.
Employers in the services sector and construction sector are also forecasting strong labour markets in the coming quarter. Chui said she expects this trend to continue for the foreseeable future.
