Bogus Email, Website Alert Issued
The Monetary Authority has issued an alert about a fraudulent email and website claiming to be related to the Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation and Hang Seng Bank.
HSBC said it has no connection with the email and reminded clients to not open the attachments in it.
The fake Hang Seng Bank website is http://hangseng.gblobalhk.com.
Anyone who has provided personal information or conducted financial transactions through the email and the website should contact Police at 2860 5012 and HSBC on 2748 8288 or Hang Seng Bank on 2822 0228.
