Car Workshop Subsidy To Open

The Government today announced that the subsidy scheme for vehicle maintenance workshops under the Anti-epidemic Fund will open for applications from July 16. The application period will end on August 14.

A one-off accountable subsidy of $50,000 will be granted to each eligible workshop to assist them in coping with the pressures of the COVID-19 epidemic.

The Electrical & Mechanical Services Department expects the first round of subsidy will be made at the end of July at the earliest.

To ensure the applications can be processed efficiently, only electronic applications will be accepted.

People in charge of eligible workshops may download the department’s mobile app E&M Trade App and submit their applications through it.

They may also apply through the department’s website.
