Edward Yau To Visit Thailand

Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Edward Yau will visit Bangkok, Thailand, tomorrow to attend the 3rd ASEAN Economic Ministers - Hong Kong, China Consultations meeting.

 

The meeting will be held on September 9.

 

Mr Yau will discuss the progress in implementing the Free Trade Agreement between Hong Kong and ASEAN with participating ASEAN economic ministers.

 

He will also meet Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Jurin Laksanawisit, and ASEAN Secretary-General Dato Lim Jock Hoi.

 

Mr Yau will return to Hong Kong on September 9. Under Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Bernard Chan will be Acting Secretary during Mr Yau's absence.
