China is planning to set up a court in Shanghai to deal with cases related to financial disputes.
The deputy head of Shanghai High People's Court Guo Weiqing said the new court would help improve what he called 'China's international influence in terms of financial justice'. He also said it will help strengthen supervision over the financial markets and prevent financial crisis.
The Supreme People's Court will submit a proposal to the National People's Congress in due course to set up the new court. (Xinhua)
