HK Stocks Soar In Early Trading

Hong Kong stocks rallied more than three percent in the morning session Wednesday as traders welcomed forecast-beating mainland factory data that suggested the economy was recovering well after the lifting of zero-Covid measures.
The Hang Seng Index climbed 3.19 percent to 20,417.
Shanghai, Sydney, Singapore, Manila, Taipei and Jakarta were also in the green but Wellington edged down while Tokyo was barely moved.
The Shanghai Composite Index was up 0.7 percent at 3,301. (AFP)
