Hong Kong stocks closed lower on Tuesday over concerns about China's economy, as a new package of stimulus measures from Beijing did little to alleviate fears over the impact of its zero-Covid policy on growth.

The Hang Seng Index slumped 1.8 percent, or 357 points, to 20,112, extending the previous day's losses.

The Shanghai Composite Index fell 2.4 percent, or 75 points, to 3,070, while the Shenzhen Composite Index slid 3.6 percent, or 72 points, to 1,922. (AFP)
