June Goods Exports Drop 0.6%

The volume of Hong Kong's total goods exports decreased by 0.6% year-on-year in June, the Census & Statistics Department announced today.

 

The volume of goods imports fell 6.3% compared to the same period last year.

 

Prices of total goods exports and imports both decreased 0.8%.

 

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the volume of goods exports increased 5.5% in the second quarter, while the volume of goods imports rose 0.9%.

 

Compared with the first half of the year over the same period in 2019, the volume of goods exports decreased 6.2%, while that of goods imports fell 8.5%.

 

In the first half of the year, the prices of goods exports and imports decreased 0.8% and 0.7% year-on-year.
