Peter Lam To Head Trade Body
Peter Lam will take over as Trade Development Council Chairman from June 1, the Government announced today. The appointment will be for two years.
Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Edward Yau said Mr Lam, with his extensive commercial experience and active participation in public services, is well suited for taking up the council’s chairmanship.
“I am confident that he would lead the council to provide sterling support to enterprises to respond to uncertainties in the global trade environment and to explore new markets and opportunities," Mr Yau said.
He also thanked outgoing Chairman Vincent Lo for leading the council to enhance Hong Kong's business profile in the Mainland and overseas markets.
