Property Sales Up 0.9%
The Land Registry recorded 9,150 sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration in April, up 0.9% from March and 88% higher year-on-year.
The total consideration for such agreements rose 9.1% from March to $85.1 billion, representing a 122% year-on-year increase.
Of the agreements, 7,325 were for residential units in April, down 1.6% from March and 78.6% higher than a year ago.
The total consideration of residential units was $71.6 billion, a rise of 3.2% compared with March and up 112.1% from April 2020.
There were 485,937 land register searches last month.
