RTHK Advisors Appointed

The Chief Executive has appointed Lam Tai-fai as Chairman of the Radio Television Hong Kong Board of Advisors, the Government announced today.

 

Ronald Chiu and Thomas So were appointed as new members while ten serving members were re-appointed.

 

The appointments are for two years from September 1.

 

Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Edward Yau said: "Dr Lam has rich experience in public services. I am confident that he can lead the Board of Advisors to assist RTHK in fully achieving its public purposes and mission as set out in the Charter of RTHK."

 

He also thanked the 10 serving members for continuing to serve on the board and welcomed the new members, noting that they could facilitate the work of the board with their professional knowledge and rich community experience.

 

Mr Yau expressed his appreciation to outgoing Chairman Eugene Chan and members Walter Chan and Mohan Datwani for their contributions.
