Travel Bubble Further Postponed
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government today announced that given the recent surge in Singapore’s COVID-19 cases, the condition for launching the Hong Kong-Singapore Air Travel Bubble could not be met for the time being.
The governments of the Hong Kong SAR and Singapore are keeping the developments concerning the epidemic situation, particularly in Singapore, under review to decide on the way forward for the formal launching of the scheme.
Both sides agree that a review could be conducted in late August, taking into account the effectiveness of the enhanced infection control measures implemented by Singapore and the global situation at the time, the Hong Kong SAR Government added.
